Just a few days left to first final of EKO-DIR FIM Speedway U-21 World Championship. On July 23rd in Poznań, the best U-21 riders on the world will start their fight, which will finish in Pardubice. One of the favourites would be Max Fricke.
Current Individual World U-21 Champion is close to repeat his countryman Darcy Ward performance, who won the junior title in 2009 and 2010. After next 7 years, another Aussie who can do the same is Max Fricke. He showed his skills in Poland for the first time back in 2014, when he signed a contract with Unibax Toruń. Despite good results in friendly matches, he couldn’t break through the team full of stars. This time Toruń’s managers decided to loan him to ROW Rybnik, where Fricke’s career improved. Would Max Fricke repeat Darcy’s Ward successes and win his second gold?
Darcy was a fantastic rider and the fact that I could the same thing is something exciting. Darcy won two titles in a row, he rode amazing. I can’t stand waiting since first final this season – said current U-21 World Champion.
