Last Friday, he was having his 21st birthday and it's not hard to guess what was he wishing for. On this Sunday, he will face the final stage of the clash in Individual Junior World Championship. Will he follow other Poles' steps, who has dominated this rivalry in the past years?

Gdańsk's native - Krystian Pieszczek will fight for the top position at his well-known track in Gdańsk. In the great final, he will be one of five candidates with real chances to reach the podium's top. However, Pole is having a big advantage over his rivals - venue at the Zawodników 1 street in Gdańsk is perfectly known by him. Will he manage to transform this knowledge into a good result?

After the first round in King's Lynn, Pieszczek was holding leader's position. In the Great Britain, he got 20 points and absolutely dominated the rivalry. In the second round, however, it went not that good - reached the semis, but gathered only 9 points. In the overall classification, he is currently third, behind the back of Max Fricke and Robert Lambert, who are ahead of Polish rider with only one point.

- There is no euphoria, however I am still satisfied. One point is not a big loss, not the one to break down. I got to keep on racing and willing to give everything I got in the most important round - in Gdańsk - said Polish rider.

What's interesting, Pieszczek would have still been the leader overall if not for the bad luck engine failure in the 15th heat in Pardubice, while he was racing at the first position.

- If not for this failure, most probably I would still have an advantage and hold the leader's position. There's no need to make a drama, though. What happened is done. I need to find some assets here. At least, in the decisive meeting, there will be more interesting racing - added Polish rider.

Hard not to agree with his words. In Gdańsk, on the 2nd of October, from 7 PM CET we will be having some huge emotions. Who will become the world's best junior 2016?
