Share on:

Dominik Kubera won the second round of FOGO FIM Speedway U21 World Championship 2019 in German Guestrow. Polish rider currently tops the overall classification, having a one-point advantage over Maksym Drabik.

Past week was extremely successful for Kubera. Pole reached for win in the "Silver Helmet" tournament, had a very good performance in PGE Ekstraliga final match and then topped the podium in Guestrow.

"Domin" was very solid at the German track. Good decisions and impressive speed made him lose only two points in the main series of the night. In the final heat, he was infallible which led him to his first win in this cycle.

- I feel great. I came to Guestrow to collect points and it all ended with a win. This week has been great for me, but now I would like to rest a bit. Before this meeting, I didn't feel well, felt tired in fact - Pole said.

Ahead of the final round which will be held in Pardubice, Kubera has a one-point advantage over second - Maksym Drabik. "Domin" admits that the track in Pardubice is not one of his favourites and his goal for this meeting is reaching the podium spot in the overall classification.

- I will have to prepare really well for this meeting. Track in Pardubice is definitely not one of my favourites. There have always been some surprises waiting for me. I'm going ro Pardubice to do my thing. If it will turn out well, it'll be great, if not, then fine. Before this season, my goal was to reach for the podium of Individual Junior World Championship. I'm going to Czech Republic to fight for it - Kubera ended.

Final round of FOGO FIM Speedway U21 World Championship comes on October 4th in Pardubice (Czech Republic).
