In the third round of EKO-DIR Speedway U-21 World Championship in Pardubice, Maksym Drabik assured a title. Pole was definitely the best in this year tournament.

Drabik began his march to victory in Poznań, where he won. After that, in Gustrow, competition finished bad for him. In semifinal, Pole hit a fence close to the start line and fell. Unfortunately, he had to be transported to hospital and sustained a shoulder injury. A lot of fans started to wonder if „Torres” will be back this season.

Back then, a lot of things were going on in my head. Despite this, I promised myself that I’ll come back even this season. I would feel insufficiency if I would not finish the most important tournament in 2017 – said Drabik.

During the final round in Pardubice, Drabik team was very calm. Everybody was delighted only after semifinal, when „Torres” assured the best U-21 rider in the world title.

- That was right decision to stay calm before that race. My father was with me in the pit and he also tried to reassure me about it – said „Torres”.

In this year U-21 World Championship cycle, Maksym Drabik was definitely the best. „Torres” is a leader in every statistic in Junior Worlds 2017. He confirmed his form in Pardubice, when he won last round very easily.

- I had been working hard for the whole year to ride like I do now in Pardubice. I’m very happy now. Still, I don’t believe what happened. U-21 World Champion title is a huge success for me – finished Drabik.
